How to Disable Collecting Order Numbers for Your Survey
An Overview of GetReviews.ai Surveys
Our GetReviews.ai surveys are designed to collect verified customer reviews by validating order numbers against a database or through manual checks to ensure only customers who actually purchased your product participate in the surveys.
By default, the GetReviews.ai surveys require customers to submit an order number to access the survey flow. However, there may be scenarios where you want to disable this and bypass the order number requirement.
This guide explains how to configure your survey to remove the order number validation.
Understanding Order Number Validation
In GetReviews.ai, order numbers are used to verify that a customer has indeed purchased from you. There are three validation methods available on GetReviews:
Automatic Validation: You are able to connect your Seller Central accounts to GetReviews via API integration and have the order numbers automatically validated for you.
Manual Validation: This allows customers to submit any order numbers, which are then reviewed and validated by you for the giveaway to be emailed.
Order Upload: This allows you to upload a CSV file of the order numbers, and the order number submitted by the customer will be automatically verified if that order number exists in the database.
How to Disable Order Number Collection on Surveys
Step 1: Accessing your GetReviews Dashboard
Log in to your GetReviews account.
Navigate to the top-right profile > and click the "Marketplaces" tab
Step 2: Create Your Own Marketplace
Scroll to the bottom of the page to the section where you can create your own marketplace
Click the "Create your own" button
Write in your desired marketplace name and image. Note that the marketplace image must be 550 px by 220 px and the file name must not contain any special characters.
Under the "Review Settings" section, you can place the review URL. This is the URL that your customers will be redirected to so they can leave their review. If you are unsure of the review URL, email us at support@getreviews.ai.
Step 3: Disable Order Number
Under the "Collect Order Number" section, do not enable it since you are not wanting to collect order numbers from customers.
Step 4: Save
Make sure you click "Save".
Note that for custom marketplaces, there are only two validation methods that you can choose which are Manual and Order Upload.
Step 5: Enable the Custom Marketplace for your Products
Go to your Products tab. For each product that you'd like to enable the custom marketplace for > select the custom marketplace > click Save.
Step 6: TEST TEST TEST
This is extremely important! Make sure you test your survey to ensure that it is configured properly.
